REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

The Seneca Nation of Indians is seeking interested individuals to submit their qualifications to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Seneca Gaming Corporation. The Corporation Board currently has three (term C) seats which expire in 2020; therefore will be up for appointment.

Pursuant to the Charter adopted by the Nation’s Council, every director shall meet the following minimum qualifications:

• must be at least 21 years of age
• must have earned at least a high school diploma or equivalent
• must not have been convicted of a Felony, as defined under the Indian Major Crimes Act (18 U.S.C. §1153)
• must meet the substantive standards necessary to obtain a license as a Class III Gaming Key Employee (although formal licensing is not required)
• no Elected Nation Official may serve on the Board; and
• no Company employee, nor any person with an economic interest in the Company’s activities may serve on the Board.

Interested individuals are invited to submit a letter of interest and a resume to the Nation’s Clerk and a licensing application to the Seneca Gaming Authority Licensing Manager as set forth below. The Council plans to schedule interviews once the SGA has completed its background check and both the SGA and the Nation’s Clerk have certified that the individual is an eligible candidate for the director position. As such, candidates are strongly encouraged to submit their materials to both the Nation and the Seneca Gaming Authority as soon as possible, in order to provide sufficient time for the background check and certification process to occur.

Copies of this RFQ and the SGA application are being made available through the Seneca Nation Clerk’s Office, and on the Nation’s website at www.sni.org. under GOVERNMENT/RFP/RFQ. The Nation may reject any proposal that is received after the specified date and time. The deadline to submit your letter of interest and resume is on or before 4:30 pm on January 31, 2020 to:

Interested Individuals are also required to submit a complete Seneca Gaming Authority license application that is required for the position of Seneca Gaming Corporation Board of Directors. SGA will accept the License application after all letters of interest & resumes have been received.
