Kiona Welch, daughter of Glenda Taylor and Jeff “Cuban” Welch, recently graduated from the International Air and Hospitality Academy with a certificate from the Airline Travel Specialist Program in Vancouver, WA, fast tracking her to become a flight attendant for a major airline when she turns of age.
A 2019 graduate from Salamanca, Welch started classes in August and completed the four month program in December.
She will not be able to work for a major airline until she turns 21 but has applied with Mesa Airlines based out of Phoenix, AZ and is waiting for a call back. To keep busy, the ambitious Welch interviewed at the Seneca Allegany Casino and started training in table games weeks ago.
