20th Annual Fort Apache Lacrosse Tournament

Rae Lynn George and Chad Whitcomb hosted the 20th annual Fort Apache Cup Box Lacrosse Tournament at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Salamanca, NY on August 14th, 2021 and this years tournament was dedicated to the families of Darryl John and Andrew John.

RedBev took home the win beating the Kodiaks in the championship game 7-2. Awards were handed out to: Kobe Whitcomb who received the “Top Gunner Award”, Keelan Seneca nabbed MVP, and Craig Seneca took home the “Top Goalie Award.” Lastly, shout out to Emily Brown who is #5 in the country, All American Wrestler!

To mark the 20th anniversary milestone, Whitcomb really wanted to celebrate so that’s why he reserved the newly renovated box lacrosse fields at Vets park. “This was the first Fort Apache tournament to be held there. Everyone got to play on and enjoy the new fields, it was a great time, great atmosphere, and an awesome facility,” said Whitcomb.

He also wants to give special thanks to: Allegany Arrows, SNI Council and Presidents Office, AC Watt, Ohi:yo Storm girls team, ALL the volunteers, and to the food and craft vendors. Nya:wëh on a great turn out.
