Congratulations to our Ray Cortes II for an outstanding first season playing basketball with the Silver Creek Knights. Ray had four 30-point games, a season high of 39 points, a triple double, and a single season record for the Knights as a sophomore. Ray broke the single-season scoring record for the Silver Creek Knights in the game against the Frewsburg Bears with 553 points surpassing the previous record of 548. Ray ended his Sophomore season with 578 points leading his team to JCC for the semi-finals. Ray’s ranking was #4 in the Section VI Class C Boys’ Basketball Division and #10 for overall in New York State. He was also recognized as the WDOE High School athlete of the Day. What a great start to your High School Basketball career.
