Library News – Allegany Branch

Submitted by Glenda Grey

June is coming up fast and that means our Summer Reading Program will be starting! Please stop by the Library to fill out registration and pick up first craft. We have lots of things planned for Oceans of Possibilities reading program and surprises too.

Join us on June 8th from 4-6pm for our Father’s Day craft night, open to ages 1-12 with adult and Dads are welcome to join in the crafts too.

We have coffee hour every Thursday morning from 10-11am and it’s a great time to relax with a good book, newspaper or catch up with friends.

Book club meets the last Wednesday of the month and we are reading The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah this month. In June we will be reading Coldspring and Coldspring the Trial, so we are ready to ask questions on June 28th when Cheri Mancuso and John Scarano are here to discuss their books.

We are open until 7pm every Wednesday and after Memorial Day we will be open until 5pm on Mon., Tues., Thurs. and Friday.

Stop in and get your library card or renew your card, there are so many places you can go and so many things you can learn from reading a book!

There’s more to come, road trip? Movies? Like us on Facebook, we share our news there too.
