Rte. 438 and Versailles Plank Road, Cattaraugus Territory | Submitted by Marilyn Anderson

It’s July already and we are looking forward to more summer events. Fairs, reunions, birthday parties, etc. Along with enjoying those events, why not try attending a church service to give thanks for all the blessings that we have in our lives? Also, Four Corners will be having it’s annual Church Picnic at the Versailles Commons on July 31, 11 a.m. In the event of rain, the gathering will be held at the Saylor Building Dining Room. Please join us for singing and fellowship. Bring a dish to pass, your own table service and beverage. Our friends from the Versailles and Gowanda UMC’s will be joining us.

Years ago our church bought new hymnals and families purchased one in memory of family members. Some of those who were honored include:

Carlton Jemison – from Jim, Marilyn, John, Barb and Matthew Anderson
Rev. and Mrs. W. David Owl – from Betty Owl Nephew
Beverly John – from Ruth and Monroe Abrams and family
Aaron, Cora and Bobbie Luke – from Don and Ethel Bray
Blane J. Maybee – from Sheila, Shantel, Valerie, Geraldine and Wayne Jamieson

If you are interested in joining the Seneca Hymn Singers, feel free to contact Janet “Beeda” Parker (716-532-2478). Rehearsals are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 7 p.m. in our fellowship hall. Stop in and visit with them!

Everyone is invited to join us at Four Corners for word and song on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. followed by refreshments in our fellowship hall. You will be provided with word and music to carry you through the week. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

Peace be with you.
