News From The Four Corners United Methodist Church

Rte. 438 and Versailles Plank Road, Cattaraugus Territory

Submitted by Marilyn Anderson

On July 31st our annual church picnic took place at the Versailles Commons. It was so good to see everyone again. The service was given by Chris Klimecko and Dave Rood with communion served by Pastor David Nichols from Hamburg UMC. We look forward to more combined events in the future.

Years ago our church needed new hymnals and families purchased one in memory of family members. Some of those who were honored include:

Dorothy Snyder Crants – given by Nora Snyder Crouse, also Robert Jr. and Shelia Kenjockety
Joseph Abrams and Janice Deanna Abrams – given by Ruth and Monroe Abrams and family
Ernestine “DeeDee” Boyd – given by Marjorie Standing Cloud
Henry and Bertha Twoguns – given by Victor G. Twoguns
Gloria Parker and Joseph Roban – given by Dick and Edna Printup

The Seneca Hymn Singers are on their summer break for the month of August. Gatherings will begin again in the Fall. If you would like their services, please call Janet “Beeda” Parker at 532-2478.

Everyone is invited to join us at Four Corners for word and song on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. followed by refreshments in our fellowship hall. You will be provided with word and music to carry you through the week. Continue to pray for our communities – for those who are addicted to drugs or alcohol, for those who are battling illness, for those who are grieving and for those who are recovering from trauma. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday. Peace be with you.
