The Salamanca Swimmin’ Women were on the road last week at Franklinville. Salamanca posted 9 personal best times against a combined team of Olean/Franklinville. Our lone winner was Emmalee Ground winning her first varsity event in the 100 breast with a career best time.
Eighth grader Addison Follman had 2 PRs in the 100 and 200 free. Mikaela Tennity followed with another 2 PRs in the 50 free breaking in the 29’s and in the 100 back. Other PRs were Alexa Reed 100 free, Charli Ross 500 free (taking off 12 seconds), Kynleigh Wass 50 free, and Madison Mohr (by 14 pts) in diving.
The swimmer of the meet went to Emmalee Ground. She continues to improve. She is a duel athlete and is working towards reaching goals she set early in the season. As a sophomore, she has the potential and spirit to be a successful swimmer. Ja:göh Emmalee!
