With our mid-winter ceremonies completed, our new cycle begins. I’m excited to move forward on some important initiatives.

At February’s regular Council session, the council moved forward with a request for proposal to build seven new homes at the Bush Road development. The new builds will include 3-5 bedroom homes. The applications for this project will be available soon, and posted on the Nations website.

Seneca Energy announced the generator and solar panel program. Families can apply for assistance on either an installation of a generator system for your home or solar panels to help defer the cost of your electric service. Please contact Seneca Energy for the application and qualification guidelines. This is a great opportunity for families.

Executives and Council are also exploring engineering designs for the property at Routes 5 & 20. The Nation has completed numerous market studies to determine the best economic development project suited for the property. More information will be presented as they develop.

In a recent audit report both SCMC and Class 2 are showing profits. Both teams are working diligently to keep above their profit margins with the assistance of their boards and management teams.

Keep up the good work!

As always stay safe, stay strong.
