April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and in honor of that, Allegany Child & Family Services held a “Child Abuse Awareness” Drive-thru on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.
For those who stopped by the LRJHC back parking lot that chilly spring afternoon, Nya:wëh for your support. Participants were greeted by staff members from several departments including the Behavioral Health Unit, HOPE (Health, Outreach, Prevention & Education), Diabetes Program, SALC (Seneca Arts & Learning Center), Community Action, and of course, Child & Family Services.
Each department passed out goodie bags filled with items such as hand sanitizer, coloring books, child abuse awareness info/handouts, frisbees, water bottles, sunflower growing starter kits and much more! Attendees were also treated to a delicious boxed lunch.
To conclude the event, the SALC raffled off some amazing prizes. AND. THE. WINNERS. ARE:
