And for the last did you know….

DID YOU KNOW that on January 22nd, 2021– 19 Seneca Arts and Learning Center employees became trained to carry and administer Narcan?

As active and concerned members of the community and part of our Quality stars community outreach and support efforts we sat and discussed what we could do to better our community as well as areas where our community is hurting. The group consensus consistently came back to the Opioid epidemic that our territory and surrounding areas are fighting. In an effort to be proactive in combatting the crisis we committed 2 hours of our staff training time to ensure our staff, who are also community members, were prepared in the event of an emergency. Our staff was trained on the opioid crisis itself, the Narcan kits, the process of administering, as well as information to pass throughout our community on awareness and free trainings in the future.

The Seneca Arts and Learning Center would like to congratulate their staff on this achievement, and extend a Thank you to the Southern Tier Health Care System for providing the free and informative training as well as, kits to all of our staff.

If you or someone you know is interested in taking this free training contact Jorden Taylor, Program Coordinator, Southern tier Catholic Health Care systems at (716)372-0614.
