On Friday, June 4, 2021 the Seneca Nation Education Department – Cattaraugus hosted the annual High School Graduate Recognition event to honor the Class of 2021. The in-person event was held at the CCC and included graduates from our local tri-district schools – Gowanda, Lake Shore and Silver Creek, as well as graduates from private school and other area public schools. The evening included congratulatory speeches given by President Pagels, Treasurer Armstrong and Education Director Trudy Jackson. Seneca Nation Clerk Marta Kettle and Councilors Eliot Jimerson, Ross John, Sr., Presley Redeye, Tina Abrams, Arlene Bova and Angie Kennedy were in attendance to honor the graduates. School District Administrators from the tri-district schools were also able to join us for the evening.
Each graduate was presented with a Native print suitcase from the Education Department and a gift card from the Seneca Nation Council & Executive Offices. The evening ended with a takeout dinner provided by Fred’s Catering of Fredonia.
