In 2012 the United Methodist Church passed a resolution directing the church to begin a process of healing relationships with indigenous peoples which is to continue throughout the quadrennium and beyond. Since the resolution was passed, Methodist churches have begun learning about the impact of historical trauma and confessing the church’s participation in the continuing effects of that trauma.

Please continue to pray for healing in our communities – whether it be spiritual, emotional, or physical healing. Please continue to pray for those in our communities who are affected by drug or alcohol abuse, those who are struggling with illness and those who are mourning the loss of a loved one. Pray for their families. We all need healing. Prayer is powerful and it can bring about astounding results.

On Monday, July 26 at 6:30 p.m. the Four Corners church will be hosting an evening of sharing for Caregivers. Please come and share your experiences as a caregiver. The group will decide future meeting dates and times. This is a great opportunity to address the needs of caregivers whether you are caring for a loved one who is elderly or one who is a child. We have all been caregivers at one time or another in our lives. Refreshments will be served.

Everyone is invited to join us at Four Corners on Sunday morning 8:30 a.m. to meet with Pastor Holly or just to visit. Worship service begins at 9 a.m. We look forward to seeing you! Peace.
