On July 11th we held our annual church picnic with members of the Versailles, Gowanda and Four Corners churches. Unfortunately, it was a rainy, dreary day so we met in the Four Corners Fellowship Hall instead of the Versailles Commons. The weather didn’t dampen our spirits, we enjoyed the fellowship and food that morning! We are looking forward to next year’s picnic.

We are planning monthly joint Sunday services with Versailles beginning on September 5th at 10 a.m. in Versailles. We will alternate between Versailles and Gowanda.

Four Corners hosted the first Caregivers gathering on July 26th. At that time the group decided to host another session on Monday, August 30th, at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. A lot of issues were brought up regarding caregiving – mainly wanting to know what services were available to them as they care for their loved one. We hope to have a speaker at the next session who can give us more insight into being a caregiver. Everyone who is a caregiver or has been a caregiver is invited to attend the gathering to share their story and to support others who are caregivers. The first rule of being a caregiver is that you must take care of yourself as well as the person you are serving.

Keep our communities in your prayers. We all need healing. Everyone is invited to join us at Four Corners on Sunday morning 8:30 a.m. to meet with Pastor Holly or just to visit. Worship service begins at 9 a.m. We look forward to seeing you! Peace.
