CLERK’S OFFICE UPDATE
The Clerk’s Office on the Cattaraugus Territory has re-opened our doors with safety protocols in place. If you have not been 100% vaccinated, you must wear a mask and social distance.
The Clerk’s Office on the Allegany Territory will be opening soon, we will remain open with a walk-up window for limited services. Our hours are Monday through Friday; 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
We encourage members to bring their own pen if needed, as a safety precaution. Please have your SNI Enrollment # ready when you are visiting or calling the Clerk’s Office.
We are happy to announce the Allegany & Cattaraugus Clerk’s Office are now accepting Credit/Debit Card as a form of payment for Id’s, utility bills, business & fishing licenses, etc.

Please get your Annual In Person Registration completed before December 31, 2021, if you are unsure of your current registration status please feel free to give the Clerk’s Office a call and ask.

• BURIAL FUND
A Burial fund has been designated to pay for funeral expenses up to $7,000 for enrolled members. For additional details, please contact the Clerk’s Office during regular business hours.
• DIRECT DEPOSIT OF ANNUITY AND/OR ELDERS PAYMENTS
If you would like to sign up for Direct Deposit of your Annuity and/or Elders Check, you will have to complete the form. The form is available on the web at www.sni.org under Documents/Clerk’s Office / Direct Deposit forms or at the Clerk’s Office.
• All direct deposit forms MUST have attached a voided check or deposit slip (start-up checks will NOT be accepted).
• Members must be at least 18 years old to sign up for Direct Deposit
• Minors are NOT eligible for Direct Deposit
If you receive direct deposit, it is your responsibility to keep your address updated with the Clerk’s Office.
• RELEASE OF MINORS TRUST FUND
In order to begin receiving Minor Trust Fund disbursements. A member must be at least 18 years old and submit the following documentation:

• High School Diploma / GED

NOTICE: Seneca Nation General Financial Assistance Program
The purpose of the Seneca Nation Financial Assistance Program is to provide a one-time payment of $1,500 in economic assistance to enrolled Senecas of the Seneca Nation who have experienced economic harm caused or made worse by the COVID-19 pandemic. Funding of this program is made available by the federal American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (“ARP”) legislation and is non-taxable as a General Welfare assistance program . Consistent with the ARP’s Coronavirus Fiscal Recovery Fund requirements, this program is intended to respond to and address such economic harm by providing financial assistance to Nation members to cover necessary expenses incurred due to the COVID-19 public health emergency.
If you or your family have experienced economic harm that was caused by or made worse by the COVID-19 pandemic, please fill out and submit this application. Consistent with Treasury’s guidance, the Nation may provide this economic assistance payment only to cover COVID-19 related costs incurred on or after March 1, 2020.
All enrolled Senecas 18 years or over must fill out their own applications. Please see the next page regarding enrolled minor children. You may only submit one application per enrolled member for this General Financial Assistance Program. Enrolled Senecas must also have completed their regular registration requirements with the Clerk’s Office in accordance with other Seneca Nation direct benefit programs.
Submission and Payment Dates:
• If your application is received by August 2, 2021 and you are registered with the Clerk’s office in accordance with established deadlines, a payment dated August 25, 2021 will be processed.
• If your application is received between August 3, 2021 and August 31, 2021 and you are registered with the Clerk’s Office in accordance with established deadlines, a payment dated September 29, 2021 will be processed.
• If your application is received after August 31, 2021 or you are not registered with the Clerk’s office in accordance with established deadlines or no application is received, NO PAYMENT WILL BE PROCESSED.
Please note that there is only one payment of $1,000 to enrolled Senecas either in August OR September (not both months) depending on when your application is received per the dates above. Again, applications received after August 31, 2021 will not be processed for payment under this program.

NOTICE: To Approve Resuming Enrollment Appearance Requirement
At the Regular Session of Council held on July 10, 2021 Council approved a Resolution to Approve Resuming Enrollment Appearance Requirement that was waived due to COVID-19.
WHEREAS, the Seneca Nation Council temporarily waived the in person enrollment appearance requirement of the Nation’s Enrollment Ordinance, as amended on March 12, 2016, in response to the Coronavirus Pandemic and the President’s State of Emergency; and
WHEREAS, the rate of infection of Coronavirus among the Seneca people has been reduced to a point that it is now relatively safe to resume in person enrollment; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that, should the infection rate continue to remain stable or decline, the Nation Council hereby reinstates the in-person enrollment requirement effective October 1, 2021.
