NOTICE: CONTINUANCE OF WAIVER FOR IN-PERSON ENROLLMENT APPEARANCE
MOTION: by Arlene Bova, seconded by Angela Kennedy, that the Seneca Nation Council approves the following resolution::
WHEREAS, the Seneca Nation is responsible for the health, safety and well-being of our members and is taking precautions to reduce the potential impact of COVID-19 on our community; and
WHEREAS, due to safety concerns, the Nation Council waived the in-person enrollment appearance requirement per the enrollment ordinance as amended on March 12, 2016 (CN: R-03-12-16-06), effective March 14, 2020; and
WHEREAS, on July 10, 2021 Council reinstated the in-person enrollment appearance requirement (CN: R-07-10-21-06); and
WHEREAS, recent increases in the rate of infection of COVID-19 both within and outside of the Seneca Nation Territory have made it unsafe to require in-person enrollment appearances at this time; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Seneca Nation Council hereby rescinds the July 10, 2021 resolution (CN: R-07-10-21-06) and continues to waive the in-person enrollment appearance requirement until reinstated by Council Resolution.
