Advent began on Sunday, November 28. Advent is the season in the Christian calendar which marks the time of preparing ourselves for the great gift of love that our Creator has given us. The four Sundays in Advent are celebrated with the lighting of the candles of the Advent wreath. The first candle that we lit represented Hope. Each Sunday we will light a candle which represents peace, joy and love. Advent concludes with Christmas which celebrates the birth of Christ.
Continue to pray for healing in our communities. Pray for those battling addictions. Pray for those who are mourning. Pray for those who are struggling with illness. But also, give thanks for all the blessings that we have in our lives. On Sunday mornings you are invited to join us for coffee and to visit at 8:30 a.m. Worship service begins at 9 a.m. We look forward to seeing you and your family. Peace.
