A message from Seneca Nation President Matthew B. Pagels:
“We commemorate the Seneca Nation’s 173rd birthday this weekend. In 1848, our ancestors adopted our Constitution, creating a new form of elective self-government to guide, preserve and strengthen our Nation for generations to come.
For nearly two centuries, the Seneca Nation as we know it today has withstood every challenge we have encountered and grown, rooted in the belief, and foresight of our ancestors, and determined to always serve our people through sovereignty and strength. Together, we will continue to grow stronger for centuries to come. Dah ne’hoh dih ae’.”
On Thursday, December 3rd, Seneca Nation employees enjoyed complimentary cake in celebration of the Nation’s birthday.
