Termination of COVID-19 Public Gathering and Travel Restrictions
WHEREAS, the Seneca Nation is responsible for the health, safety, and well-being of our members, residents and employees and continues to take precautions to reduce the potential impact of Corona virus Disease 2019 ( COVID-19) on our community; and
WHEREAS, the Seneca Nation Territories experienced a drastic increase in individuals testing positive for the COVID-19 virus, in part due to the new “Omicron” variant; and
WHEREAS, the President of the Seneca Nation issued an Executive Order on January 6, 2022 concerning COVID-19 Public Gathering and Travel Restrictions,
WHEREAS, the President of the Seneca Nation extended the COVID-19 Public Gathering and Travel Restrictions on February 4, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the Seneca Nation Territories have seen a drastic reduction in the number of COVID-19 cases over the past two weeks;
NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT
The prior Executive Orders dated January 6, 2022 and February 4, 2022 are hereby rescinded, effective immediately.
