Silver Creek’s Ray Cortes, seen shooting a jumper during a basketball game at Frewsburg earlier in the season, he broke the Black Knights’ single-season scoring record in their win over the Bears in the Section VI Class C quarterfinal game. Cortes now has 553 points, surpassing the previous record of 548 held by Trevon Thompson.
