Morrie Abrams 3rd Annual Snowsnake Tournament

The late Morrie Abrams

Onoville, NY – The 3rd Annual Morrie Abrams Memorial Snowsnake Tournament was held March 12-13, 2022 on top of Oldro Hill in Onoville, NY with the biggest turn out ever, even with the stormy weather! The tournament was organized by Sherry Dowdy, Gonio Miller, Christopher “Bundy” Jimerson and Councillor Tina Abrams. This annual event is sponsored by SN Council.

The late Morrie Abrams was a former Seneca Nation Councillor whom had a life long love for the traditional game. Starting out on Snow Street in the pre-Kinzua days, Morrie carried his passion for ga:wa:sa’ through the years and started the annual tournament in Salamanca, NY. His team, Ononville, carries on the event in his memory.
