Seneca Nation Library – Allegany Branch

We have events coming up this month and we are busy planning for the fall.

Speaking of fall, our fall hours will begin September 19th. You will have more time to come into the library to check out books, movies or have a coffee and read the newspaper.

Don’t forget to take advantage of the free movies at the Ray Evans Theatre. We are working with the Chamber of Commerce and have two more movies to show. On August 16th come watch Spies in Disguise, and August 23rd, Sonic Hedgehog 2. Movies begin at 1pm and we have free popcorn and water.

We are happy to have Teaching Turtle Tales with Mrs. Leeora White at the Library on August 23rd at 9:30am. Call us to reserve a spot to come listen to an amazing, young, local story teller.

Speaking of storytelling, we will have another local author, Julia Wilson. She will be here on the 24th at 5pm to read from her book, “Real Life Encounters”, Nurturing Hearts and Souls, and to answer questions. This book is a short story collection from real people overcoming difficulties that many of us can relate to. Please plan to join us at 5pm – seating is limited so call to reserve your spot at 716-945-3157. We will serve light refreshments.

As always, coffee hour is every Thursday from 10am-11am. We are growing and there’s lots of great conversations, coffee and doughnuts.

See you at the Library, we are more than just books!
