Seneca Nation Gakwi:yo:h Farms – August News

The Gakwi:yo:h Farms Food Truck made an appearance at the Seneca-Iroquois National Museum on Friday, August 12th as part of the “Food Truck Friday – Summer 2022” launch, which was a success this year taking place in the parking lot of the Onöhsagwë:de’ Cultural Center in Allegany. The farm food truck menu consisted of bison burgers, bison hot dogs, street corn, and strawberry drink. If you missed it, keep an eye out for future events.

August was a busy month for the Mobile Markets. They were set up in Allegany at the SAAB and Museum, at the One Stop in Irving, the farm site at Taylor Hollow, and they also travelled to the Springville auction.

As the season begins to wind down, watch for the current Mobile Market schedule by visiting the Gakwi:yo:h Farms Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/GakwiyohFarms. Get your fresh produce while supplies last!

Lastly, Wednesday, August 17th was a beautiful day to clean corn! The crew always does a great job and this is just one of the many duties handled on the farm.
