Gowanda Central School District was honored to have Dr. Rodney Haring join them to present on the topic of racism for their Tolerance and Assistance Program, the morning of Friday, January 13, 2023.
Dr. Haring, pictured below with Assistant Principal David Smith, is the inaugural director of the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for Indigenous Cancer Research. He is also a past fellow at the National Congress of American Indians and the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Haring is an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians (Beaver clan). In 2021, he received The National Federation of Just Communities Hero Award! The district said “Our Panther family is honored to have him join us! Thank you, Dr. Haring! “
