Is it spring? Is it summer? Is it winter? Every day is a new day with different weather! Now that the Christmas holidays have passed, should we look forward to spring? Spring signals a time for renewal – planting, more daylight, etc. Spring is also when Christians commemorate Easter when Christ rose from the dead. Prior to Easter there are special days to prepare for Easter. At Four Corners we will be hosting Shrove Tuesday (also known as Fat Tuesday), on February 21, from 6-7 p.m. This event signals the beginning of Lent in preparation for Easter. Everyone is invited to join us for pastries and fellowship!! The next day, Wednesday, February 22, which is Ash Wednesday, and we will be having a service at the Versailles UMC at 7 p.m. Again, everyone is invited to join us for these special services.

The Seneca Hymn Singers are on their winter break and will begin regular rehearsals in March. If you are interested in joining them or require their service, please contact Janet “Beeda” Parker at 716-532-2478.

Continue to pray for healing in our communities: those who are grieving, those who are ill, those who are being abused, those who are addicted to alcohol or drugs and pray for our Nation. We hope that you will join us for our worship service on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. when we enjoy fellowship, song, and word. After our service we have coffee time. We look forward to seeing you. Peace.
