I’m thankful you are well and able to get out and enjoy the spring high school sports. Support our student’s sports programs, they put in much time and effort into playing.
I’d like to give a shout out to the NAYO organization for the great youth basketball tournament they hosted a few weeks ago and to the CCC staff for maintaining the venue for our guests. Great job everyone.
Nation representatives attended the Annual Native American Finance Officers Association (NAFOA) Conference in Washington, DC this month. This years conference looked at top financial opportunities, management strategies and legislative updates impacting tribes. Our Comptroller presented at a breakout session regarding preparedness during federal audits. Other great workshops included Tribal data sovereignty and jurisdiction, energizing economic development, and cybersecurity, protecting your assets.
The Nation is edging closer to starting the housing project on Bush Road. The Housing task force is creating the criteria for applicants and payback obligations. Information will be available once it is finalized.
I would like to recognize our Teachers for Teacher appreciation week held the first full week of May each year. Nya:wëh for your dedication, and support for our students and community. We appreciate you every day.
