The Remember The Removal committee has been meeting biweekly to plan for the upcoming 2023 and next year’s events. The current committee consists of Nancy Toth, Rod Peirce, Gloria Heron, Linda Crouse, and Terry John. Nancy Toth has been selected as this year’s committee chair. This year’s walk will go from Red House Bridge to Breed Run. From there we will meet at the Allegany Community Center for events. This year is particularly unique because the Red House Bridge is slated for demolition and it will be one of the last times we can visit.
Our biweekly meetings revolve around planning of activities and ways to commemorate the removal.
The meetings are biweekly: July 6, July 18, August 8, August 27, September 5, and September 19.
