A huge nya:wëh to all who came out for the 3rd annual Father’s Day Fishing Tournament sponsored by the Seneca Nation Council Office and the Conservation/Fish & Wildlife Department. Held at the Seneca Nation Fish Hatchery, we had an incredible 40 youth and 33 adults in attendance. A special nya:wëh goes out to all the departments who donated door prizes, every angler in attendance won a prize! Ja:göh to the category winners!
$100 Cash Prize winners:
- First Catch of the day was Chad Hill Jr. with a 13 and ¼ inch Crappie
- Biggest Catch of the day was Kingston Snyder bringing in an 18 and ½ inch fish
- Most Fish Caught was Keelin Johnson bringing in 4 fish
- Nolan Seeley brought in the Smallest Catch of the day at 7 inches even.
We:so nya:wëh to the parents & guardians who brought their families to participate, Judy & Ibby for being masters of the grill, Alley for keeping track of Fish Caught, and the Council Office and Conservation/Fish & Wildlife for bring everything together, the Seneca Media & Communications Center for taking photos and prepping the swag bags, Tami Watt, SNI Newsletter, executives, and community members that donated prizes. It was a great day on the water!
