Hanna and Haley Sheridan are so happy The Buffalo Club provides a space where they can enjoy being together to eat, learn, workout, socialize and, most importantly, have fun. They hope to give to the Club as much as the Club has given and continues to give to them.
They are also proud Members of the Seneca Nation. They come from the Allegany Territory and are Bear Clan. The Seneca Nation is a matrilineal society. It is the westernmost nation of the Iroquois Confederacy, or Haudenosaunee, and has a long history of diplomacy. The Seneca Nation has a diversified portfolio of businesses whose revenues directly fund cultural preservation, education, health and critical infrastructure.
Hanna is the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Seneca-Iroquois National Museum. The Museum is on the Allegany Territory in the Onöhsagwë:de’ Cultural Center, which is celebrating its five-year anniversary Saturday, August 5th. The Cultural Center is essential in preserving the culture and history of the Seneca Nation and works to provide exceptional community programming. On any given weekday you can find traditional classes being taught from beading and basket making to history and dance lessons.
Hanna and Haley are happy to serve as a reminder that Native peoples and communities are vibrant and thriving. They are proud to celebrate the resiliency of the Seneca Nation and other Indigenous Peoples and their continued presence and contributions.
They encourage anyone who wants to learn more about them or the Seneca Nation to chat with them at the Club!
