August 2023 | Miss Brittany Carlson, PreK 2 Lead Teacher

Brittany describes a typical day here at Seneca Arts & Learning Center as a fun, rewarding, fast paced environment that keeps her on her toes. She always knew she wanted to work with children and knew she wanted to be a teacher.

Making a positive change for the children and families is Brittany’s favorite part about her job. She believes one of the most important things she can provide for a family is to ease some of the difficulties and try to think of creative ways to maximize communication in their everyday activities.

Fun, flexible, and caring are three words that describe Brittany. She is fun because she thinks its important to have fun while learning through play. Flexible because a person in this field needs to be flexible and constantly analyze and change plans for each child. Finally, caring because that is an important part of this job overall.

Over the next 5 years, one of her biggest goals is to further her education, while growing and learning to become a better version of herself.
