A Clan Mother Bonds All Nations
25 years ago, Carson Waterman’s mural on Main Street in Salamanca was featured in the Salamanca Press: “Aug. 27, 1998: SALAMANCA — It took six weeks, nine gallons of primer, 20 gallons of color and five more gallons of a space-age scaler…The 30-by-70 foot Carson Waterman mural of “A Clan Mother Bonds All Nations” is complete and bears the artist’s signature. When he started on a portable scaffold, Waterman said he had no idea how much paint it would take.
And since it is guaranteed not to fade for 15 years, it will stand as a reminder of the first project undertaken by the Joint Development Commission, a not-for-profit economic development group of Seneca Nation and Salamanca representatives.”
