The days are getting shorter and colder. Fall colors and sports are in full swing. Congratulations to the Seneca Sachems Pee Wee team for all your accomplishments this season! More exciting sports news, the International Olympic Committee recently announced that lacrosse will be included in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
Judicial Elections
On November 7th, we head to the polls to elect new Peacemakers’, Surrogate’s, & Court of Appeals Judges. The polls will open at 9am and close at 7pm at both the Seneca Allegany Administration Building & the William Seneca Building.

Construction Updates
The new Cattaraugus Health Center is moving along nicely. The concrete foundation and the exterior walls are nearly complete. The layout of the interior partition walls, HVAC & electrical work are ongoing. The Sullivan Hollow homes are moving along nicely as well, with finishing touches taking place now. Occupancy of the new homes is expected to begin in the Spring of 2024.
Newtown Longhouse
Earlier this summer the Newtown Longhouse was destroyed by fire. Our hearts were crushed, but with the determination and resilience of the community, the Newtown Longhouse was rebuilt. This display of determination and resiliency is symbolic of the Seneca people.
