TO APPROVE THE BOARD OF ELECTORS / INSPECTORS / JUDICIAL ELECTION 2023 / APPOINTMENTS
MOTION: by Al E. George, seconded by Timothy Waterman, that the Seneca Nation Council approves the following resolution:
WHEREAS, under the Judiciary Law, Section 1.2 (Definitions) B: Board of Inspectors, three from each of the Allegany and Cattaraugus Reservations; two to be selected by the President; two by the Council and two by the Judges of the Peacemakers Court; all serving as the overseers of election conduct and certifiers of election results; and,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Nation’s Council, hereby appoints the following to serve as the Board of Electors / Inspectors for the upcoming Judicial Election to be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, as follows:
PRESIDENT’S APPOINTMENTS:
Cattaraugus Territory: Barbara Weston
Alternate: Erin Tallchief
Allegany Territory: Darra Lichy
Alternate: Rosemary Patterson
COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS:
Cattaraugus Territory: Tammi Stafford
Alternate: Chelsea Snow
Allegany Territory: Jesse Brown
Alternate: Scarlett Ground
PEACEMAKER’S APPOINTMENTS:
Cattaraugus Territory: Norah Stevens
Alternate: Marcy Isaac
Allegany Territory: Jasa Rasha
Alternate: Cheryl Pierce
NOW, FINALLY BE IT RESOLVED, the Nation’s Council hereby authorizes the Clerk to appoint additional alternates, if needed, to facilitate the composition of the Board of Electors/ Inspectors.
