October 22, 2023 | Repost: Seneca Nation Conservation – Fish & Wildlife FB

On Saturday, October 21st, the weather may have been rainy and gloomy but the Allegany Conservation – Fish & Wildlife department’s release brightened everyone’s day.
Special thanks to Messinger Woods Wildlife Care and Education Center for rehabilitating this female juvenile eagle back to health, after Wildlife Officer Jackson found the eagle unable to fly.
After 3 weeks of rehab and countless hours by the staff at Messinger Woods Wildlife Care, she was released back to the wild. The enormous wingspan was a sight to see.
The Seneca Nation Conservation Department would like to thank everyone involved from the rescue, rehab, and release. Nya:wëh!
