The Salamanca Kiwanis Club and Prospect Elementary School recognized its first two Terrific Kids of the 2023-24 school year for September and October: Drew Hayes and Amelia Bova.
For the month of October, the Kiwanis Club and Prospect recognize Amelia Bova (Seneca, Allegany Territory), a thoughtful girl from Mrs. Holleran class. Amelia was at one of her lacrosse games this season when a child from the other team fell down on the field. Amelia noticed this, went right over to help the other player up and make sure they were okay. Amelia showed amazing sportsmanship and awareness to others. She is known by family and friends to often help people, whether it’s helping them up or helping them out by tending to their needs when sick or hurt. Amelia you are amazing! Kiwanis and Prospect are incredibly proud of the choices you are making.
Amelia is the daughter of Megan and Toby Bova of Ohi:yo’, maternal grandchild to Susanne Sanford, paternal grandchild to Anson Bova, Sr.
