On November 7th, the Seneca Nation hosted Canvass Day for the newly elected Judicial officials.
Clerk Bethany Johnson invited Duey Longboat up to give Ganonyok. The public was invited to view the official election count for both territories in the Peacemaker Court.
Clerk Johnson swore in newly elected judges for the Allegany Peacemakers Court: Suzanne “Sue” Case, Allegany Court of Appeals Judges: Judy Farmer and Evelyn M. George-Shongo, Cattaraugus Peacemakers Judge: Sylvia “Beege” Lynne Jock, and Cattaraugus Court of Appeals Judge: Diane Logan Cooper.
Seneca Resorts and Casinos catered a hearty meal and flowers were given to all newly elected judges. Clerk Johnson thanks all that ran and won in the Seneca Nation Judicial Election 2023.
