Happy Holidays to you and yours! We’re off to a great holiday season with the first snowfall making it more festive. We have had a very busy year making great strides in our financing.
Our last CIA debt payment was made on December 1st, 2023. Our original amount was for $159,495,000 and was used for many of the building projects within the Nation. It is a great achievement that this was paid on schedule. Many things including the pandemic could’ve prevented it.
We also filed the Treasury Housing Assistance fund report which allowed us to complete a significant budget mod and accept additional funding in the amount of $107,000. This funding can be used until the end of 2024.
Cost of living adjustment rates (COLA) were completed for Seneca Gaming and Entertainment and Seneca One Stop employees for fiscal year 2024. The employee retention proposal will go to budget and finance for the December meeting. This new policy to benefit employees has the potential to begin in January.
Health insurance rates were finalized which includes dental and life insurance benefits. Employees can contact Human Resources and the Fiscal Department at 716-945-1790 for more information.
Lastly, the compact extension was signed on December 1, 2024. This will allow the Nation to continue to discuss compact terms and operate our gaming facilities during this time.
