Seneca Nation Executives and Salamanca City Central School District officials gathered on Tuesday, January 9th to celebrate the Salamanca Warriors football program on their Championship season with a banquet hosted in their honor. The Warriors completed a historic 10-3 season, traveling all the way to the New York State Class C semi-finals.
“This season and this team brought our community together in a way that I cannot recall seeing in many years. The excitement and support in our community built and got stronger each week. You could see it, hear and feel it – at the games each week and throughout the community,” said President Rickey L. Armstrong, Sr. “The camaraderie carried forward and showed in the way you played together as a team, week after week, game after game, all the way to Highmark Stadium and on to the State playoffs. That is what Salamanca is all about – we are in it together, and you showed the entire region what makes us strong.” Ja:göh!
