ALLEGANY TERRITORY, SALAMANCA, N.Y. – Seneca Nation President Rickey Armstrong, Sr. announced that, upon review of updated data, two local motor fuel providers conducting business on Seneca Nation Territory are compliant with Seneca Nation law and are not in danger of having their Seneca Nation business licenses suspended.
“We want to thank our compliant providers for their longstanding business relationship with the Nation,” President Armstrong said. “We look forward to their continued partnership in service to our territories.”
Meanwhile, Crossett, Inc., of Warren, PA, which supplies fuel to gasoline stations on the Nation’s territories, has been notified that it is currently operating in violation of Seneca Nation law. A violation notice sent by the Nation demands that the company come into compliance, including remittance of necessary fees and obtaining required Nation licenses, and prohibits Crossett from doing business on Seneca Nation Territory until they have met all Seneca Nation requirements. If the company fails to come into compliance, its Seneca Nation business license will be suspended as of Friday, February 16 and the company must cease and desist from doing business on Seneca Nation Territory as of that date until all Nation requirements are met.
Another company, Melzer’s Fuel Service, Inc., of Painesville, OH, does not have a valid Seneca Nation business license. The company was issued an order to immediately cease and desist commercial activity on Seneca Nation Territory until the proper license has been obtained and all requirements met.
