Salamanca Boys Bowling Team finish 2nd Place at Sectionals!

It took the Boys Varsity Bowling team time to jell this year with three new starters (7th grader, freshman, sophomore). They finished 3rd in the League this year however, saved their best for Sectionals. After the morning session, Salamanca found themselves in second place lead by Senior Captain Dekkyn Krantz 244 game and Senior Captain Dylon Ingersoll 629 series. After struggling out of the gate in the afternoon session, Salamanca boys found themselves in third place by almost 70 pins entering the third and final game of the afternoon. Led by Freshman Andrew McCormick throwing a career high 206 game and 7th grader Howard Crouse had his high game of the day 179, with Captains Dekkyn Krantz (201), Cole Urbanski (182) & Dylon Ingersoll (190), Salamanca stormed back to finish in 2nd place in Class D. For the tournament Senior Dylon Ingersoll led the team with a 1213 total pin count for 6 games and Senior Cole Urbanski was the most consistent with 1113 series for 6 games.

Freshman Andrew McCormick set a new personal high series with a 532 series in the afternoon session. Everything considered it ended up being a great season for the Boys Varsity Bowling Team.
