I’m thankful you are well. First, I’d like to congratulate the Salamanca Warriors Basketball team for their win in the Section VI Class B1 championship game over Newfane. Best wishes to the team as they advance to the NYS Final 4 Championships.
Seneca Holdings also has a great venture with the acquisition of solar projects BNRG Renewables Limited and financed partially through the United States Department of Energy’s Tribal Loan Guarantee program once the acquisition is approved. These projects located in Oregon are currently operating and will immediately produce revenue.
The Seneca Nation’s portfolio has also seen a 16% return on investment since last year. Our fiscal team is doing great managing our investments during a critical period in the world economy.
The Nation can contribute to positive investments for instance the Enterprise board is beginning its due diligence on an additional Buffalo One Stop site in south Buffalo. This is only preliminary at this time.
Lastly, Council is exploring the possibility of new elder facilities in both Cattaraugus and Allegany as both current facilities are needing more work to maintain a safe environment for residents. More information will be forthcoming.
Warmer months are quickly approaching where we can get outdoors more. Until we are able, continue to stay healthy by following wellness protocols.
