Allegany State Park Historical Society Tours Seneca Nation Fish Hatchery
April 2, 2024 | Repost from Allegany State Park Historical Society FB
A big thank you to the Seneca Nation of Indians Fish Hatchery for Saturday’s presentation. The gentlemen from the Nation explained the process in great detail from start to finish and allowed many observers to partake in the process. Soon the many walleyes that have been raised there will be released into various parts of the Allegany River and the hatchery will be dormant until next spring.
Our next meeting will be a tour of Group Camp 12 on Saturday, April 20th. We will be meeting at the Group Camp 12 mess hall at noon for a board meeting and starting the tour 1:00pm.
We will be entering the camp from the new road off ASP 2. We hope to see you there!
Shout-out to the SN Fish & Wildlife staff for always doing a great job!
