On May 12, Mother’s Day, we will honor mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, and other women in our life who provide us with guidance and love. At the Four Corners church we remember the mothers who have passed and were an influence on the growth of the church: Delphina Mt Pleasant, Mamie Williams, Mrs. Windsor Pierce, Frances Jemison, Eleanor Lavis, Lois Jimerson, Girlie John, Ruth Abrams, Lena Pierce, Lori Nephew, Karen Nephew, and Alicia Jemison. We are thankful to them for sharing their lives, faith, and wisdom with us. Remember, the fifth commandment says, “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12).

Continue to pray for healing in our communities. Pray for those battling addictions. Pray for those who are mourning. Pray for those who are struggling with illness. But also, give thanks for all the many blessings that we have in our lives.

On Sunday mornings join us for inspiring words and songs beginning at 9 a.m. After the service we have coffee time and refreshments. We look forward to welcoming you and your family. Peace.
