Gender Identity in Indigenous Culture at Castellani Art Museum With Jocelyn Jones

Repost from Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University

A heartfelt thank you to Jocelyn J. Jones for enlightening us with her profound insights during last week’s Currents Lecture: “Gender Identity in Indigenous Culture” at Castellani Art Museum. As a member of the Seneca Nation, Wolf Clan, Jocelyn’s expertise brought us a deeper understanding of gender identity through the cultural perspectives of the Haudenosaunee nations. It was an enriching evening filled with knowledge and thoughtful discussion that truly opened our eyes to the societal, cultural, and spiritual gender concepts within Indigenous communities. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn from such a knowledgeable and inspiring speaker. Thank you, Jocelyn!
