Updates from the Library – Allegany Branch

Our Mother’s Day Bingo at the library was a huge success thanks to the following businesses and individuals: Highbanks Campground, Jody Clark, Cliff Redeye, Sierra Parker, Anne Dowdy, Sue George, Darlene Bova, Glenda Grey, Sanders Parkview, Tim Hortons, HairMaxx, Rockn’ Taco, Tim and Bonnies and The Wanderer Hut. If you want to join us next year, look in the newsletter for details!

Summer hours will start the week of June 23rd. We will be open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until 7pm and closed on Saturday. All other nights, we are open until 5pm.

Join us on June 5th to hear Maurice John Jr., and Xanthe John speak on Native Identity in the Digital Landscape. This event is from 6pm to 7pm with light refreshments.

Our Father’s Day event is June 18th from 5pm to 6:30pm with Michael Crouse who will be teaching the men how to make a bark rattle. Please call 716-945-3157 to reserve your spot. Seats are limited.

Mark your calendar for a Hodinohso:ni:h Culture Presentation on Indigenous Gender Roles with Jocelyn Jones on June 19th at 6:30pm – 8pm.

Summer reading is staring in July too, we have a lot happening at the library.
