Cannabis Contacts for Emergencies or Accidental Exposures

Important Numbers for Emergencies:

  • Call 9-1-1 or get emergency medical help right away if you or someone in your care has serious side effects from cannabis products
  • Always keep cannabis products in a safe place out of reach of children, ideally in a locked box.
  • Call the local poison control center (1-800-222-1222) if a child has consumed these products. Do not wait for symptoms to call.

  • Contact your healthcare provider if you or someone in your care recently ingested cannabis product(s) and you have health concerns.

Important Definitions per Seneca Nation Cannabis Code:

  • Adult-Use Cannabis or Marijuana – means Cannabis that is cultivated, processed, transferred, tested, or sold to adults 21 years of age or older pursuant to this Code and the laws of the Seneca Nation of Indians.
  • Consumer – means a person who is 21 years of age or older.
  • Cannabis Products – means Cannabis and its products, unless otherwise indicated. Cannabis Products includes products that have been Manufactured and contain Cannabis, Marijuana, or a naturally-derived extract from Cannabis or Marijuana, including concentrated forms of Cannabis and products composed of Cannabis and other ingredients that are intended for use or consumption, including Edibles, topical products, ointments, oils, concentrates, and tinctures.
