Congratulations Lake Shore Eagles Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team – Section 6 Champions

On Friday, May 24, 2024, the Lake Shore Eagles defeated the Williamsville East Flames 8-3 in the finals for Section 6C. This is the fourth consecutive sectional title Lake Shore Eagles have won. CONGRATULATIONS!! Ray Cortes 1g 1a; Kolten Bonafede 2g 1a; Brody Himelein 1g 1a; Simon White had 7 gbs 3 takeaways went 6/15 on faceoffs and Damien Warrior had 9 saves in net.

The road to the final playoff game began by the Lake Shore Eagles defeating Iroquois 16-1 in the quarter finals game on May 20, 2024. Ray Cortes had 2g 7a; Kolten Bonafede 3g 2a; Keion Beaver 3g 2a; Kaleb Johnson 2g 2a; Simon White 5 gbs; Eli Himelein lead defense w/4 takeaways and Damien Warrior had 9 saves.

The Lake Shore Eagles moved on in the sectionals on May 22, 2024 by defeating Amherst 15-7 to advance to the sectional finals. Ray Cortes lead with 7g 3a; Kaleb Johnson 2g 3a; Kolten Bonafede 2g 1a; Simon White had 9gbs 2a & 3 caused turnovers; and Damien Warrior had 10 saves.

The Lake Shore Eagles took on Honeoye Falls-Lima on May 29th, 2024 at Williamsville East High School.

The Lake Shore Eagles overall record for the 23-24 season was: Overall 16-2 and League 13-1 (1st). They are ranked #1 in Section 6 and # 2 Buffalo.

CONGRATULATIONS to Ray Cortes who scored his 200th goal in the game against Iroquois on May 20, 2024. His family is so very proud of his many accomplishments he had during his high school years in both lacrosse and basketball. He is signing to play lacrosse at St. Bonaventure and we know that he will do a tremendous job for their lacrosse team. We love you, Ray.
