I’m thankful you are well. As you may be aware the waterline replacement project is moving right along. It started in Irving and will continue through the Territory until most of the lines are completed into 2025. Keep in mind this may slow traffic down in each direction.
As previously mentioned paving along route 438 will begin after the waterline project is completed, in mid to late September. Re-routes may be necessary to avoid long waits during the project.
The Planning department conducted four community meetings with Elders to discuss new concepts for Oak Tree and 44 Seneca complexes and elder housing in general. Overall analysis of the issues is being completed, but a common theme with all groups is the need to take-action on the needs brought forth.
The Capital Improvement Authority (CIA) also completed survey results on the condition of the Saylor Community building and the current Cattaraugus Health Center. The Saylor Building needs substantial repairs well over the appraised value of the building. The Health center is in better condition and repairs are less significant. They will decide how to proceed with these repairs moving forward.
A design concept is being developed for the Sachem field, which will include a turf field, track and additional amenities. This is very exciting news for the organization and the Nation. This project is anticipated next year. Have a great season Sachems.
Stay safe and stay strong,
