This summer the Allegany YES Program has had a busy summer! On July 17th they were provided a workshop in Financial Literacy by SNIEDC group John Zurek, Annie Tallchief and Kayla Huff.
The SNIEDC team made it a lot of fun playing trivia buzzer games followed by Spending Frenzy, a ‘life game’ of buying and spending to meet your needs, without going broke.
Allegany YES youth also joined the Alleg. Educ. Leadership Program to a college tour at University at Pitt/Bradford. Part of the tour was with forsensic science where they got to investigate crime scenes and play detective solving the crime!
Allegany YES youth received First Aid/CPR training. Nya:wëh to TERC staff Jackie, Patrice and Anna for providing the certification class!
They also participated in a First Aid Responder presentation at the AIRVFD. Fire Chief Mike showed them the fire trucks and the EMS showed them the ambulances.
