Repost from Erie County Sheriff’s Office FB
Last week, the Active Threat Integrated Response Course was held on the Cattaraugus Reservation of the Seneca Nation of Indians. This training is offered by Louisiana State University’s National Center for Biomedical Research and Training/Academy of Counter-Terrorist Education. Participants of this training opportunity included the SNI Marshals, Seneca EMS, Erie County Sheriff’s Office, Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, and Chautauqua County EMS.
Active shooter response requires seamless synthesis between multiple first responder entities. This training presented an opportunity to develop important skills with our law enforcement, fire and EMS partners. Sheriff Garcia and Undersheriff Cooley personally observed part of the training.
